KEOGHS range of SILO UNLOADERS covers the entire spectrum from 'on farm storage' to commercial applications and in a variety of capacities, designs and silo sizes. They compliment your wise investment in flat bottom silo's and SILO ROOF AUGERS by effeciently conveying the 'gravity fed' grain and then reclaiming the residual with the units radial arm sweep.

Our standard range of units are built to suit both MEC (Kotzur) silo's and SMORGAN CYCLONE silo's, but we can easily custom build units to suit other brands and sizes.

Choose your drive options from mains electric, tractor PTO or hydraulic. Mains powered units can be in either 240 VAC or 415 VAC. All models come ready for GAS SEALING of the silo to control pests. This is not an option - it's standard.

All units come with full guarding, an instruction manual and most importantly ready for use.

Our range of SILO UNLOADERS includes :-

• BASIC AGRICULTURAL MODEL - a tubular type unit with 3mm wall thickness, 3.5 mm fliting, large centre pipe, standard 25° incline head (or optional straight head), reclaim sweep with slew ring pivot, gas sealed and external gate controls,
• HEAVY BASIC AGRICULTURAL MODEL - similar to the above BASIC AG with material upgrades to all flites (3.5 mm up to 4.8 mm), heavier duty sweep and the addition of a reduced speed sweep wheel,
• HEAVY DUTY AGRICULTURAL MODEL - a U trough shaped unit with 3mm wall thickness, removable 6 mm floor plates, 4.8 mm fliting, large centre pipe, standard 25° incline head (or optional straight head), reclaim sweep with slew ring pivot and reduction wheel drive, gas sealed and external gate controls,
• COMMERCIAL MODEL - a U trough shaped unit with 3mm wall thickness, removable 6 mm floor plates, 6 mm fliting, over-sized centre pipe, standard 25° incline head (or optional straight head), reclaim sweep with slew ring pivot and high reduction wheel drive, gas sealed, external gate controls, geared motor drives and customized drive speeds to suit the application.

BASIC AGRICULTURAL MODEL

The BASIC AGRICULTURAL unit was designed for the user who wanted their own farm storage and once a year grain reclamation. Simple controls, medium grade build and few options directed it toward the lower end of the market. The duty of this unit was for once a year emptying of the silo, but users all over Australia have found this unit to be heavily built and made to move serious amounts of grain. We even know of some companies that use these as commercial grade unloaders.

Standard drive is electric/electric (electric drive on sub-floor drive and electric drive on sweep drive) with 240/480 VAC or 415 VAC on the sub-floor and 415 VAC D.I.P rated motor on the sweep (no 240/480 VAC D.I.P. rated motors are available) If 240/480 VAC is the mains supply then a VF (Variable Speed) drive will be required to power the sweep. Other drive options are PTO/hydraulic or hydraulic/hydraulic.

These units are gas sealed as standard and are furnished complete with an outlet sealing cap and head stand. All parts external to the silo slab are hot dip galvanized to ensure long life.

Diameters range from 200 mm to 350 mm and to suit silo diameters of 5.5 metres to 18.3 metres. As standard the flite is to suit cereal grains but corn and broad bean flite can be supplied for no extra cost.

The HEAVY BASIC AGRICULTURAL unit was designed for the user who wanted their own farm storage or for light industrial applications. This model consists of simple controls, heavy grade build and few options. The duty of this unit is for once a year emptying of the silo to several empties per year, but users all over Australia have found this unit to be heavily built and made to move serious amounts of grain. These units are commonly used by commercial grain storages due to their proven track record of delivering reliable and dependable service.

Standard drive is electric/electric (electric drive on sub-floor drive and electric drive on sweep drive) with 240/480 VAC or 415 VAC on the sub-floor and 415 VAC D.I.P rated motor on the sweep (no 240/480 VAC D.I.P. rated motors are available) If 240/480 VAC is the mains supply then a VF (Variable Speed) drive will be required to power the sweep. The difference between this unit and the previous BASIC AGRICULTURAL MODEL is in the thickness of the flites and the design of the sweep. All flite thicknesses have been beefed up from 3.5 mm to 4.8 mm, and the sweep has been manufactured in the same robust design as the HEAVY DUTY AGRICULTURAL MODEL which incorporates the reduced sweep wheel drive system to help obtain greater wheel traction and reduced wear on the wheel caused by slippage.

The HEAVY DUTY AGRICULTURAL unit was designed for serious grain turnover. Simple controls, heavy duty build and numerous options allow this model to fit into all reclaim situations. With a wide array of drive options for both the sub-floor and sweep augers we can supply the right assembly for your needs.

Standard drive is electric/electric (electric drive on sub-floor drive and electric drive on sweep drive) with 240/480 VAC or 415 VAC on the sub-floor and 415 VAC D.I.P rated motor on the sweep (no 240/480 VAC D.I.P. rated motors are available). Other drive options are PTO/hydraulic, PTO/clutch, electric/clutch or hydraulic/hydraulic. The sweep on these latter units is powered by the sub-floor auger drive and is engaged via a clutch system.

These units are gas sealed as standard and are furnished complete with an outlet sealing cap and head stand. All parts external to the silo slab are hot dip galvanized to ensure long life. The sweep drive is fitted with a 'shearbolt clutch' that is preset to the required operating torque to protect the sweep or sub-floor auger from damage by overloading of the sweep, but still allow the sweep to function.

The most important feature of the HEAVY DUTY AGRICULTURAL (and also the COMMERCIAL unit) is the extra large centre sump assembly that allows for unrestricted grain flow in to the sub-floor auger and yet still allows for precise capacity control via the inlet choke assembly.

The COMMERCIAL GRADE unit was designed for serious grain turnover and long duty cycles. With controls and options similar to the HEAVY DUTY AGRICULTURAL units, this model comes with geared motors on both sub-floor and sweep augers and customized speeds for both augers.

Drive is electric/electric (electric sub-floor drive and electric on sweep drive) with 240/480 VAC or 415 VAC on the sub-floor and 415 VAC D.I.P rated motor on the sweep (no 240/480 VAC D.I.P. rated motors are available). Other drive options are electric drive to both the sub-floor and sweep augers with the sweep being engaged via a clutch system.

These units are gas sealed as standard and are furnished complete with an outlet sealing cap and head stand. All parts external to the silo slab are hot dip galvanized to ensure long life. The flite in these units are 6 mm thick and are mounted on over-sized centre pipes, over-sized drive/idler spigots and bearing journals. The reclaim sweep is driven at a customer nominated speed and drive to the sweep wheels is conducted via a high reduction gearbox to ensure 200 to 400 mm of sweep travel per minute.
