Portable Augers

KEOGH'S manufacture a full range of PORTABLE AUGERS. While we have essentially been making the same design for over 45 years, we have not ignored new idea's and attributes that we can bring to our auger designs.

As standard units they are available in diameters for 175 mm (7") to 300 mm (12") and in lengths from 9.1 metres (30') through to 16.75 metres (55').

Choose your drive options from petrol, petrol/hydraulic, diesel/hydraulic , electric, PTO and tractor hydraulic. Select either standard HT Holden rims or Landcruiser rims and tyres for the same price, as well as a choice of a manual, 12 VDC electric or 240/415 VAC electric winch to raise your auger.

Choose your finish from standard enamel paint to 2 pack paint and finishing on hot dip galvanized.

All units come with full guarding, an instruction manual and most importantly are ready for use.

Numerous manufacturers of portable augers are cheaper than us, but when you understand that these other units commonly are not assembled, do not include wheels and a hopper as standard issue and do not include drive components (belts, pulleys, PTO shafts etc..) you can begin to appreciate why we initially appear dearer, but actually are not. All we ask is that when you get prices on portable augers that you 'compare apples with apples'.

Our STANDARD ISSUE for PORTABLE AUGERS include (but is not limited too):

• A plastic hopper with every auger (can be sold without if requested)
• 1.25" lay-shaft and bearings
• Full guarding kit
• Complete with battery, battery box, leads, belts, pulleys and fuel tank for electric start petrol configurations
• Are pre-assembled ready for towing to site and use
• A minimum of 2.7 metres from engine or PTO mount to auger inlet for extra long reach into silo's and field bins
• A minimum of 50 mm NB pipe for the undercarriage
• A choice of HT Holden or 6 stud Landcruiser rims and tyres for no additional charge and
• Heavy duty simplex or duplex chain and sprocket drive on the top end of the unit, complete with a long life nylon chain roller and rubber tensioner.

Note: please speak to us about auger reach specifications before ordering a PORTABLE AUGER to suit your purchase of silo's. The lengths specified by the silo manufacturer may not be correct depending on the lift characteristic's used in their calculations. Use our chart below for general lift/reach data.
